This presentation will provide technology and engineering leaders an opportunity to see behind the scenes of a Walt Disney Parks and Resorts technology organization that helps to make Disney magic. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Information Technology will share some of their business goals and challenges when leveraging technology to create new memorable experiences for their Guests and Cast. Additionally, this presentation will look into the top three technology business trends facing Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Information Technology and how they impact the decision making process.
Chad Haas. Bio:
Chad T. Haas is a senior leader with over 15 years in the technology industry working for top-tier enterprise level organizations with global focus. An accomplished technology strategist and business enabler, his vision and expertise in solution development have driven the organizations that he has led to stay ahead of the competition and to launch multiple new industry firsts. These endeavors highlight Mr. Haas' ability to meld creative energy with business acumen to drive engaging results.
Mr. Haas currently leads the Strategy and Operations department for Disney Cruise Line Information Technology, where he has led the organization to develop cutting edge technology solutions and targeted business enablers to support Disney Cruise Line in receiving numerous industry accolades. Leading with conviction, Mr. Haas has constantly exemplified his ability to have the foresight to see the long-term implications of a strategy. While at the Walt Disney Company, Mr. Haas has served in many operational and strategic roles that have allowed him to develop vast, influential relationships throughout multiple industries; enhancing his reputation as a critical thought partner.
Previous to the Walt Disney Company, Mr. Haas served in multiple leadership positions at Prudential in Jacksonville, Florida. In the United States Army, he served as a Signal Corps officer with worldwide experience including Korea and the Middle East. Mr. Haas. awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Army Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Parachutist Badge.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mr. Haas holds an Associate of the Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Florida, a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Central Florida, and a Master's of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Modeling and Simulation from the University of Central Florida. Mr. Haas is married to the former Kristie D. Peacher from Woodbridge, Virginia, and has 2 daughters.
